Responsibilities Greet patients warmly, verify insurance information, and assist with patient intake processes, including collecting vital signs and updating medical records. Prepare examination rooms and assist healthcare providers with clinical tasks such as phlebotomy, medication administration, and basic life support procedures. Manage electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems), ensuring accurate documentation of patient visits, medical histories, and treatment plans. Schedule appointments, coordinate referrals, and handle patient inquiries efficiently to optimize clinic flow. Support medical documentation efforts by coding diagnoses with ICD codes, maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations, and managing medical records securely. Assist with inventory management of medical supplies, including pharmaceuticals and consumables used in dermatology, internal medicine, or urgent care settings. Maintain a clean, organized work environment adhering to safety standards while providing exceptional patient service throughout all interactions. Qualifications Prior experience in a medical office setting with familiarity in dermatology, hospital medicine, urgent care, or internal medicine is highly desirable. Knowledge of EMR/EHR systems and proficiency in electronic health records management. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or equivalent is required; additional certifications such as phlebotomy or medication administration are advantageous. Strong understanding of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, pharmacology, and ICD coding practices. Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide compassionate patient care while managing administrative duties efficiently. Demonstrated ability to multitask effectively in fast-paced environments such as hospital or inpatient settings. Experience with medical assisting procedures including vital signs collection, medication documentation, and inpatient care is preferred.
