Job Description
You are applying for a position through Medix, a staffing agency. The actual posting represents a position at one of our clients. Job Summary Our client, a physician-owned practice with a dedicated medical culture, is seeking a Medical Assistant with a passion for patient care. This role involves working within a GYN Oncology environment and supporting general clinical flow throughout the day. Key Responsibilities Work within a GYN Oncology Environment. Room patients and support general clinical flow throughout the day. Manage provider schedules and patient flow to ensure efficient room utilization. Take and document patient vital signs. Reconcile active medications and update patient records as needed. Perform standard depression screenings in accordance with clinic protocols. Check in patients and assist with front-end patient flow as needed. Clean and prepare exam rooms between patient visits. Stock exam rooms and maintain adequate medical supply levels. Balance and coordinate care for up to three overlapping incoming patients at a time. Monitor schedules closely to keep exam rooms available and prevent provider workflow delays. Chaperone office visits as needed. Support providers during visits by handing instruments and assisting with in-room clinical tasks. Assist with instrument sterilization and autoclaving. Skills BLS Certification. Experience taking patient vitals. Prior clinical experience preferred. Experience within environments including Oncology, Palliative Care, Hospice, and OBGYN preferred. Experience with Autoclave. Benefits Paid Sick Leave (Medix provides paid sick leave according to state and local sick leave ordinances).
