513635 Become a Casual Part-Time Pathologist Assistant, at North Memorial Health! We have an exciting opportunity for a Casual Part-Time Pathologist Assistant to join our team of pathologists. Pathologists' Assistant plays a critical role in the delivery of healthcare services in surgical pathology and autopsy pathology. Key partners in assisting the Pathologist to arrive at a pathologic diagnosis. Provide accurate and timely processing of a variety of laboratory specimens, including comprehensive macroscopic examination and evaluation of all surgical pathological specimens. Accountabilities:
- Proper specimen collection and submission
- Perform the macroscopic description and dissection of all surgical specimens ranging from simple to complex cases
- Perform surgical pathology special procedures
- Accepts other duties as assigned to promote the accomplishment of organizational goals.
- The team member is accountable to demonstrate proficiency for the skills outlined in the appropriate position skills list.
- The team member is accountable to maintain skill proficiency, including improvement where deemed necessary, and upgrading any additional or new skills on the appropriate position skills list. Compliance

- Protects customer and team member privacy and only accesses customer and/or team member related information as needed to perform job duties.
- Reports violations or areas of concern to supervisor or Corporate Compliance Officer via established methods of communication.
Education:
Graduate of an accredited Pathologists' Assistant program; American Society for Clinical Pathology Board of Certification (ASCP BOC) preferred.- An approved equivalent combination of a 4 year degree (BS/BA) in biological science and three years or more of on the job training experience will be considered in lieu of accreditation.
