Work today, get paid today! The pay range for this position is $17.14-$28.34 based on direct and relevant experience. RAYUS Radiology is looking for a Medical Assistant (MA) to join our team. As a Medical Assistant (MA), you will be responsible for supporting the physician assistant and/or technologist with the daily functions of the Clinic and provide general administrative support to the department. This is a full-time local travel position working Monday-Friday various 8-hour shifts between 7:00am - 5:00pm, traveling to our centers in Blaine, St Louis Park, Burnsville, Woodbury, Shakopee, Plymouth, and Edina.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Welcome patients and escort them to exam rooms
Obtain and document vital signs and temperatures
Assist providers and technologists during patient visits and procedures
Enter medical histories, orders, and patient information into RIS systems
Retrieve previous medical records and coordinate follow-up appointments
Communicate medication concerns and contraindications to providers
Start IVs and assist with oral sedation procedures Administrative Support (45%) Monitor clinic schedules and coordinate follow-up and same-day appointments
Facilitate efficient patient flow throughout the clinic
Discharge patients with appropriate instructions and documentation
Call or fax prescriptions to pharmacies as directed
Conduct follow-up calls with pain management patients regarding treatment outcomes and future appointments
Document patient preparation calls in RISLogic or aRies
Prepare next-day H&P paperwork
Assist with incoming patient calls regarding treatments and procedures
Coordinate scheduling needs with front office and scheduling teams
Maintain exam room and department supplies
Assist with exam room cleaning and organization
Provide daily schedule and task updates to leadership (5%) Performs other Duties as
Assigned Required:
High school diploma, or equivalent
Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant education program
Certified in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
One (1) year experience using Microsoft Office Suite; Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
Travel is required between sites; a reliable means of transportation is required
Valid driver's license and proof of current insurance is required for the team member to personally drive a vehicle for company business (regardless of whether it's a company or personal vehicle)
Preferred:
One (1) year of Medical Assistant work experience
Healthcare experience in radiologic procedures and medications
