Medical Assistant - Weekend/Casual Help Advocate Urgent Care Are you a compassionate and dedicated Medical Assistant looking for flexibility? Advocate Urgent Care is seeking a motivated team member to provide high-quality patient care in our fast-paced clinic. This role is perfect for someone who wants to pick up a few shifts while making a real difference in patients' lives. Responsibilities Assist providers with patient examinations and procedures Perform routine clinical tasks: vital signs, patient prep, and charting in EHR Administer medications under provider direction and maintain accurate records Draw blood and prepare labs for in-house or reference processing Prepare exam rooms, sterilize instruments, and ensure a clean, organized clinic environment Provide excellent patient service by answering questions and ensuring comfort Ensure tests are completed accurately and on time Requirements Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent OR 6-12 months of relevant training/experience AAMA Certification preferred Knowledge of medical terminology Strong communication and patient service skills Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment Familiarity with medication administration protocols a plus Commitment to patient confidentiality and healthcare regulations
