Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in patient care and administrative support, with experience in various medical settings including dermatology, urgent care, and hospital medicine. This role is crucial for ensuring that our patients receive high-quality care and support throughout their healthcare journey. Duties Provide direct patient care by taking vital signs, conducting intake assessments, and administering medications as directed by healthcare providers. Assist with various clinical procedures, including but not limited to X-rays and emergency medicine tasks. Maintain accurate patient records using EHR systems, ensuring all medical terminology and ICD coding is correctly applied. Support the medical team with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing patient flow, and coordinating referrals. Demonstrate knowledge of anatomy and physiology to assist in patient education and care planning. Collaborate with healthcare professionals in both inpatient and outpatient settings, including clinics and trauma centers. Ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment. Qualifications Previous experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar role within hospital or clinic settings is a must. with at least one year work in outpatient setting Knowledge of medical terminology, ICD coding, and basic life support techniques is essential. Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on patient service and communication. Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail. Certification as a Medical Assistant or relevant training in healthcare support roles is preferred.
