Job Description

Kansas City Allergy & Asthma has been serving the Greater Kansas City Area since 1979. We're proud to be Kansas City's premier caregivers for allergy, asthma and immunologic diseases. We are seeking a full time Medical Assistant (MA) to join our team. This position is a great opportunity to gain professional experience in a private, specialty medical office setting; As an MA, you will also work a set schedule that allows for work/life balance (i.e. no nights!). The MA is an integral member of our clinical team. Working alongside nurses and providers on a daily basis, ensuring efficiency and quality care for patients.
Responsibilities include:
Welcoming patients into our practice and assisting with their questions Preparing patients for the health care visit by Verifying their information Reviewing and recording medical history Taking vital signs Confirming purpose of visit or treatment Supporting patient care delivery Completing records by entering orders as directed by physician and recording test results into the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) Preparing exam rooms for patients Keeping supplies stocked and ready, placing orders, and verifying receipt Maintaining safe, secure, and healthy work environment Maintaining patient confidence and protecting operations by keeping patient care information confidential.
Starting wage range:

Education & Experience:
