Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our Murphy Watson Burr healthcare team! Full time and Part time schedules available! The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care in various medical locations, mostly in St. Joseph and Cameron, eventually including our other surrounding community travel locations. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively with teammates in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures. Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring they are clean and well-stocked. Record patient medical histories quickly and accurately. Assist with in-clinic minor procedures. Perform special diagnostic testing ordered by the doctors. Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Provide exceptional patient service, addressing inquiries and concerns promptly. Collaborate with medical staff to ensure efficient clinic operations. Required travel during and after training, up to 20% of the time, for both St Joseph and Cameron locations, using a vehicle provided by the practice. Skills The successful candidate will possess the following skills: Proficient understanding of medical terminology relevant to Ophthalmology is helpful, but not required. Efficient typing skills, around 50 wpm minimum. Ability to provide excellent patient service while maintaining professionalism under pressure. Great customer service skills; being friendly, outgoing, and having good listening and communication skills.
