Primary Care Provider is seeking a full time (Monday•Thursday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm) seasoned Medical Assistant with experience working in a clinic environment: Medical Assistant / Medical Receptionist needed to help with all aspects of Primary Care Clinic Medical Assistant duties: Assist provider in exam rooms Escort patients to exam rooms, interviews patients, measure vital signs, including weight, blood pressure, pulse, temperature Perform blood draws and EKG's Review of all related reports, encounters, and labs in advance of patient intake to have better understanding for reason of visit and to prepare for patient questions Keep exam rooms stocked with adequate medical supplies, maintain instruments, prepare sterilization as required Take telephone messages and provide feedback and answers to patient/physician/pharmacy calls All other duties as assigned by practice administrator
Medical Receptionist :
Serves patients by greeting and helping them with registration; scheduling appointments; verifying insurance benefits; utilize EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and assisting with various other clinical responsibilities as needed. Welcomes patients by greeting patients and visitors, in person or on the telephone; answering or electronic messages through patient portal. Multi-tasking to ensure insurance benefits are verified in advance of patient appointment; optimizes patient schedule to create consistent patient flow and confirm all patient forms are uploaded into EHR before patient is seen. Responsible for collecting copay, outstanding balances or deductibles that are patient responsibility at time of patient check-in. Financial responsibility to reconcile front desk collections daily and prepare deposit slip. •5 years experience working in a Clinic required Medical assistants must have knowledge of: Healthcare field and medical specialty•Family practice preferred Medical terminology Grammar, spelling, and punctuation
Experience of EHRs Skills/Qualifications:
Positive attitude, Professionalism, Compassion towards others, Multi-tasking, EMR Experience, Flexibility, Telephone Skills, Customer Service, Time Management, Organization, Attention to Detail, Scheduling, Word Processing, Quality Focus, Phlebotomy, Administer Injections Education High school diploma; some college preferred Medical assistant certification

Salary:
$16.00 to $19.00 /hour
