Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our growing healthcare team. This role offers an opportunity to work in the outpatient clinical setting. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in patient care, medical terminology, and administrative support, contributing to high-quality healthcare delivery. Candidates with experience are highly valued. Previous experience in Epic is highly preferred. Duties Assist with patient intake procedures, including obtaining medical histories and recording vital signs Prepare patients for examinations in outpatient setting. Operate Electronic Health Record (EHR) system accurately for documentation and billing purposes - we are part of the Epic system Scheduling tests/procedures, referrals to outside clinics and follow ups. Prescription refills and prior authorizations Skills Strong knowledge of medical terminology Experience working in healthcare setting a plus Familiarity with Epic EHR is highly preferred Ability to perform intake assessments and vital signs measurement Excellent patient service skills with a compassionate approach to diverse patient populations Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate record keeping and compliance with healthcare regulations This Medical Assistant position offers an engaging opportunity to contribute meaningfully to patient care while developing advanced clinical skills.
