Responsibilities:

Assist healthcare providers in daily clinical operations, including preparing patients and examining rooms for appointments Take and record patient vital signs, medical histories, and prepare patients for the provider's examination Perform basic clinical tasks such as administering injections, collecting specimens, and performing outpatient procedures, as assigned Ensure clinical areas are clean, organized, and compliant with safety protocols Manage patient documentation accurately, ensuring all records are up-to-date and complete Support patient flow throughout the clinic, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience for all visitors Assist with limited administrative duties as needed, including scheduling and patient check-in/out

Required Skills:

High school diploma or GED Associate degree in Medical Assisting and/or graduation from an accredited vocational Medical Assistant program, or military equivalent State-specific certification/licensure as required, such as Medical Assistant certification or phlebotomy certification Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems and medical software Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on patient care and confidentiality Ability to follow detailed instructions and work efficiently under pressure Attention to detail and organization skills Nice to

Have Skills:

Previous experience working in outpatient or clinical settings Additional certifications in phlebotomy or EKG Bilingual abilities to assist diverse patient populations

Preferred Education and Experience:

Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program Prior experience as a Medical Assistant in a fast-paced clinical environment Knowledge of local/state healthcare regulations and practices

Schedule:

Tuesday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. No travel required Must pass in-person BLS test and complete all required screening and compliance documentation Physical capability to stand for extended periods, assist patients as needed, and perform clinical tasks effectively
