20120 Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Certified Medical Assistant / Registered Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA) to join our dedicated healthcare team at our Clayton/Wilson location. This role involves providing exceptional patient care, supporting clinical operations, and ensuring accurate medical documentation within a fast-paced medical environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in medical assisting, with experience across various specialties including dermatology, hospital medicine, urgent care, and emergency medicine. Duties Assist with patient intake procedures, including recording vital signs, medical history, and current medications. Prepare patients for examinations and procedures in accordance with clinical protocols. Collect specimens such as blood or urine samples through phlebotomy and prepare them for laboratory analysis. Administer medications and injections following proper protocols and physician directives. Document all patient interactions accurately in Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems, ensuring compliance with medical documentation standards. Support clinical staff by managing appointment scheduling, patient flow, and maintaining organized medical records. Perform basic life support (BLS) procedures when necessary and assist during emergency situations within the facility. Ensure adherence to HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient confidentiality and handling sensitive information appropriately. Assist with inventory management of medical supplies and pharmaceuticals, including pharmacology considerations. Collaborate with physicians and specialists across departments such as geriatrics, internal medicine, surgical units, or trauma centers to facilitate comprehensive patient care. Skills Proven experience in medical office settings with knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, ICD coding, and EMR/EHR systems. Strong understanding of dermatology, hospital medicine, urgent care protocols, emergency medicine, and inpatient/outpatient procedures. Familiarity with medication administration procedures and pharmacology principles. Excellent patient service skills with the ability to communicate effectively across diverse populations. Ability to manage medical records accurately and efficiently within electronic health record management systems. Knowledge of vital signs assessment, intake procedures, and basic phlebotomy techniques. Experience working in Level I or Level II trauma centers is advantageous; inpatient or PICU experience is preferred. Competence in handling medical documentation meticulously while maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations. Strong organizational skills combined with the ability to multitask effectively in a dynamic environment.
