Job Description

Medical Assistant (MA)
Location:
Advance, NC Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 40 hours/week (6:00 AM - 6:00 PM; flexible shifts, option for 4x10s)
Pay Rate:
$18.00 - $23.00/hour (based on experience)
Key Responsibilities:
Measure and record vital signs (height, weight, blood pressure, etc.) Accurately document patient information, histories, and treatments in the EMR (EPIC) Assist providers with patient exams and procedures Perform phlebotomy and prepare specimens for lab analysis Administer injections and immunizations as directed Perform point-of-care (POC) testing and routine screenings Provide basic wound care (bandaging, dressing changes, suture removal) Manage patient flow including rooming and discharge Support front office operations: Patient check-in/check-out Scheduling appointments Collecting payments and completing registration Coordinate referrals and follow-up care Maintain exam rooms, supplies, and sterilized instruments Ensure compliance with HIPAA and all regulatory standards Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies What to Expect in
This Role:
Patient volume: ~5-15 patients per day Mix of administrative and clinical responsibilities Adult-focused primary care environment Opportunity to build strong patient relationships in a workplace clinic setting Collaborative, team-based care model Required Qualifications 1-2+ years of Medical Assistant experience (family practice or primary care preferred) Medical Assistant diploma or certification (CMA, RMA, etc.) Comfortable performing independent blood draws (phlebotomy required) Experience with both front and back office responsibilities Strong documentation and organizational skills Preferred Qualifications Experience with EPIC or similar EMR systems
