Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in patient care and administrative support, with experience in various medical settings including family medicine. This role is essential in providing high-quality care to patients while ensuring efficient clinic operations. Duties Perform patient intake, including gathering medical history and vital signs Assist healthcare providers during examinations and procedures Administer medications as directed and ensure proper documentation Maintain accurate patient records using EHR systems Conduct basic life support and emergency procedures when necessary Support outpatient services, including completing referrals and prior authorizations. Utilize knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology to assist in patient care Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive patient service Assist in the management of clinic operations, including scheduling appointments and handling administrative tasks Phlebotomy skills a must Requirements Certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited program Experience in family medicine preferred, but not required Knowledge of ICD coding and medical-surgical terminology Basic life support certification required; additional certifications in advanced life support are a plus Familiarity with EHR systems for effective patient record management Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and geriatric care principles Ability to work effectively in family medicine environments with patients of all ages Previous experience in outpatient clinics or inpatient settings is highly desirable Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient service and care Join our team to make a difference in the lives of our patients while advancing your career in the medical field!
