Physician Office Practice Additional Job Functions:
Receives calls regarding appointments; determines the appropriate provider, length, and type of appointment; schedule appointments accurately Collects monies from patients including insurance deductibles and co-payments on outpatient accounts; documents receipts; prepares cash reports at day's end Assists in scheduling outside tests and referrals requested by the doctor; confirms date, obtains prior authorizations as applicable Responds to requests for records in a timely manner and verifies receipt of same Performs High Level Disinfection according to CFVH policy and manufacturer's instructions Floats to other clinics as assigned Other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications The following qualifications, or equivalents, are the minimum requirements necessary to perform the essential functions of this job:Education, Training and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required Basic Life Support (BLS) required from the American Heart Association Enrolled in an approved/accredited medical assisting program required and must graduate from the approved/accredited assisting program within a year of employment required.Acceptable organizations are:
