Job Description
The Orange County Health Department has an opening for a Certified Medical Assistant. The work is primarily responsible for supporting the nurses, physicians and Advanced Practice Providers in the medical clinic, provide patient intake, prepare exam rooms, and perform lab duties as back up for the laboratory technician as needed. This position performs a variety of tasks, including but not limited to, direct patient care, preparing examination rooms, assisting with laboratory duties, vaccine administration, client education, and treatments as directed by providers. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Nursing Supervisor with some leeway to exercise independent judgment within the framework of applicable rules, regulations, policies and procedures in the performance of duties.
