Job Description

As a medical/clinical assistant you will assist a physician, physician assistant, or nurse practitioner in providing comprehensive patient care within clinical and surgical settings with a professional attitude of compassion and respect for patient dignity. General Skills
  • Assist healthcare providers as needed, including physical examination, surgical procedures, treatments, and suture removals
  • Rooming patients by escorting patients to and from waiting room
  • Perform patient intake, including documenting appropriate medical history
  • Verify medications at each visit
  • Verify allergies at each visit
  • Administer medications and injections as directed by providers
  • Conduct and order basic laboratory tests
  • Provide medical administrative support, including patient phone calls, scheduling appointments, managing patient records, obtaining prior authorizations, and ordering of supplies
  • Ensure cleanliness, organization, and timely resupply of examination rooms, medical equipment and supplies after each patient visit
  • Timely and complete charting Surgical Skills
  • Assist healthcare providers as needed, including performance of procedures
  • Sterile field, surgical training, and universal precautions knowledge
  • Sterilization of instruments with autoclave after each patient visit
  • Proper personal protective equipment {PPE)
  • Compliance with all safety protocols
  • Administer medications and injections as directed by providers
  • Prepare surgical packs
  • Perform surgical dressing changes
  • Educate patients on wound care
  • Electrodessication and curettage device
  • Set up procedure room according to provider standards, including organization and supply of medical equipment and supplies needed for procedure performed or as requested by provider
  • Timely and complete charting Attendance
  • Regular workplace attendance without excessive absences
  • Timely notice and approval of absences per office procedures
Job Type:
Full-time Pay:
$16.50 - $22.00 per hour
