Major duties and responsibilities include program management, budgeting and financial management, personnel management, program operions, interactions and relionships, and compliance. Assists with the development and supervision of a developmentally approprie SAC program th promotes the social, emotional, physical and cognitive growth of children and youth in the age cegories served. Assists in providing program oversight and accountability for the performance of employees and the safety of children in accordance with Department of Defense (DoD), United Stes Marine Corps (USMC), and local policies and standards. Supervises employees. Assists in overseeing the collection, accure accounting and reporting of funds received from prons. Ensures compliance with all regulions governing the use of appropried and nonappropried funds. Adheres to authorized methods of acquisition. In the absence of the Director, assumes responsibilities and performs duties and requirements of the position under supervision of CYP Administror with oversight.Supervises employees to include:
assigning and distributing work, coaching, counseling, tutoring, and mentoring employees; approving and disapproving leave, recommending and completing personnel actions, completing performance reviews and signing timecards, training employees. Duties may involve working both indoors and outdoors with occasional indoor and outdoor field trips. Classrooms and office areas are adequely lighted, heed, and ventiled. May work an uncommon tour of duty to include evenings and weekends to accommode varying program opering schedules. Performs other reled duties as assigned. Qualificions Wh are we looking for? Bachelor's degree or advanced degree in youth development, elementary or secondary educion, family and consumer science (human development emphasis), special educion, or other fields approprie to the position. OR A combinion of educion and experience (e.g. courses equivalent to a major in a field (24 higher level semester hours) approprie to the position (see above) plus approprie experience or additional course work th th provided knowledge comparable to th normally acquired through the successful completion of the 4-year course of study described above. Minimum of 18 months' experience working in group programs with children/youth as well as demonstred knowledge in theories and principals of child/youth development. Experience must demonstre the ability to lead junior staff in the accomplishment of work. Must have the visual and auditory capabilities to supervise children and youth, to comply with sight and sound supervision requirements and to provide immedie responses when applicable Must be able to obtain and maintain Tier 1 (T1) Level background check with Childcare investigion which are required for positions th involve working with children under 18 years of age. Must pass a pre-employment physical and annual physicals thereafter, provide evidence of immunizion and be free from communicable disease. Must complete all DoD training requirements within the specified time including oriention, initial, DoD Standardized Module Training, and annual ongoing training requirements, and required certificions, if any. Must maintain current food handlers, CPR and First Aid certificions. May be required to obtain a government driver's license. Ability to communice effectively in English, both orally and in writing, and possess strong interpersonal communicion skills.Note :
This position is identified as a Test Designed Position (TDP). The incumbent is subject to random drug testing because duties must be performed with a high level of productivity, reliability and judgment to prevent adversely affecting personnel safety, and causing risk/damage to government property, and/or significant adverse impact to day-to-day operions.
