JOB RELATIONSHIPS
Responsible to the Clinical Supervisor and Practice Administrator
DEFINITION OF POSITION
The primary role of this position is to assist and support the cardiology provider in clinical and administrative tasks to assure efficient patient flow through the center; to ensure and streamline an efficient process for the provider to see patients in a timely manner; to maintain neat, clean, and safe patient care areas, and to promote patient satisfaction by interacting with patients in a professional, friendly manner consistent with their needs.
QUALIFICATIONS
Professional Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program and/or previous comparable work experience preferred. Knowledge of third party billing preferred, but not required. Basic knowledge of medical terminology. Ability to maintain confidential medical information. American Heart Association BLS training and certification required
