Job Description
Certified Clinical Assistant (CMA/CNA2) Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Certified Clinical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care, support medical providers, and ensure the smooth operation of the medical office. This role involves a combination of clinical and administrative duties, requiring strong communication skills, attention to detail, and adherence to safety and privacy protocols. The Certified Clinical Assistant will play a vital role in delivering quality healthcare services in a professional environment. Responsibilities Assist healthcare providers with patient care activities, including routine screenings and examinations. Administer injections and immunizations in accordance with certification, training, and practice protocols. Perform phlebotomy procedures for blood draws as needed. Take and record vital signs accurately during patient visits. Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the Electronic Health Records (EHR) system, ensuring all medical records are up-to-date and compliant with HIPAA guidelines. Prepare exam rooms by stocking supplies, cleaning, and ensuring a safe environment for patients. Manage electronic medical records efficiently using EMR/EHR systems. Follow infection control, safety procedures, and HIPAA regulations at all times to protect patient privacy and safety. Provide excellent patient service by addressing patient questions, scheduling appointments, and supporting overall patient experience. Skills Proven experience in medical assisting within a clinical or medical office setting. Proficiency with EMR/EHR management systems. Strong knowledge of medical documentation standards and procedures. Ability to perform phlebotomy and administer injections or immunizations competently. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare team members. Knowledge of infection control practices, safety protocols, and HIPAA compliance. Basic life support (BLS) certification is preferred or required depending on practice requirements. Organizational skills to maintain accurate records and manage multiple responsibilities efficiently.
