Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and organized Medical Receptionist/Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. This role is essential in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our medical office. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for helping others in a clinical environment. Hours This is a Fulltime position needed in both Surf City and our Beulaville office. Must be able to work both offices based on staffing needs. Hours during the week include Monday-Thursday 8AM-4:30PM and Fridays 8AM-12PM. Duties Greet patients warmly and assist them with the check-in process. Employees are required to be cross-trained to work as a receptionist and CMA. Schedule appointments and manage the clinic's calendar efficiently. Handle patient inquiries and provide information regarding services offered. Maintain accurate patient records using electronic health record systems, such as Epic. Perform insurance verification and assist with billing processes. Support medical staff with administrative tasks. Ensure compliance with office management protocols and maintain a clean, organized workspace. Assist in the preparation of examination rooms and support clinical staff during patient visits. Experience Previous experience in a medical office, clinic, or hospital setting is preferred. Proficiency in using electronic health record systems, particularly Nextgen, is a plus. Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact professionally with patients and staff. A background in dental clinics or related healthcare fields is advantageous but not required. $14.00 - $17.00 per hour
