Job Summary :

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our healthcare team. This vital role involves providing comprehensive clinical and administrative support across various medical specialties, including dermatology, hospital medicine, urgent care, and outpatient clinics. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional patient care, managing medical documentation, and supporting the smooth operation of the medical office. Key Responsibilities:

Assist with patient intake, including collecting medical histories and vital signs Prepare examination rooms and ensure all necessary supplies are available Perform clinical tasks such as phlebotomy, administering medications, and taking X-rays Support physicians with procedures in outpatient, inpatient, emergency medicine, and trauma center settings Manage electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems), ensuring accurate documentation of patient encounters Assist with ICD coding, medical records management, and medical documentation compliance Provide patient education on medications, procedures, and health maintenance Support medical office management by scheduling appointments and coordinating patient flow Maintain knowledge of pharmacology, anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology to assist effectively Ensure adherence to infection control protocols and basic life support (BLS) standards

Qualifications :

Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program

• Required. Current certification/registration through one of the following: CMA
• Certified Medical Assistant through the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), OR RMA
• Registered Medical Assistant through American Medical Technologists (AMT), OR CCMA
• Certified Clinical Medical Assistant plus a 12-month D-H apprenticeship program. AHA BLS (Basic Life Support)
• Required. Previous experience in an office or outpatient/ambulatory care setting
• Strongly preferred.
