Job Summary The Certified Medical Assistant performs clinical support procedures under the direct supervision of the Office Nurse or Physician. This role requires professionalism, discretion, emotional stability, and a genuine caring nature, as duties involve direct patient care and confidential handling of practice, employee, and patient information Duties Perform blood draws, injections, child immunizations, lab tests, and other procedures within MA certification scope Assist physician with exams, including vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature, respiration) Keep exam rooms clean and stocked with necessary supplies Take and return patient phone calls as directed by the Physician Provide patient instructions as directed by the Physician Requisition supplies to maintain adequate stock Assist with medical record maintenance, including referral forms, lab slips, and documentation Assist patients to/from exam rooms and prep for exams/procedures Support nursing procedures as directed by the Physician Assist in other areas as requested by Manager/Clinical Coordinator, within MA certification guidelines Work as a flexible, collaborative team member Skills Minimum 2 years in a formal Medical Assistant curriculum/training program (Required) Minimum 3 years of demonstrated relevant experience as a Medical Assistant in a medical setting (Required) Current Medical Assistant certification, must be maintained (Required) BLS Certification - AHA (Required)
