Job Description

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled, compassionate, and dependable Medical Assistant to join our growing multi-specialty medical practice. This position is primarily responsible for providing direct clinical support to healthcare providers while ensuring exceptional patient care and efficient office operations. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, experience with electronic medical records, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Urology experience is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities:
Triage patients and obtain accurate medical histories Record vital signs, height, weight, and other clinical information Prepare patients for examination and assist providers during patient visits Enter and update patient information accurately in the electronic medical record (Tebra) Document patient encounters and maintain accurate medical records Perform basic clinical procedures and assist with treatments, including TMS and Spravato treatments, as directed Prepare and stock examination rooms, ensuring cleanliness and organization Process prescription refill requests and communicate with pharmacies as needed Obtain and process prior authorizations for medications, procedures, imaging, and other services Review laboratory and diagnostic results as directed by providers Provide patient education and follow-up instructions under provider direction Maintain confidentiality of patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations
Administrative Responsibilities:
Greet and check in patients, ensuring a welcoming and professional experience Schedule appointments and manage provider calendars Verify insurance eligibility and benefits Answer and route incoming phone calls, messages, and patient inquiries Coordinate referrals and assist with scheduling specialty appointments as needed Perform general office duties including filing, faxing, scanning, and data entry Assist with maintaining efficient patient flow throughout the office
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required Medical Assistant experience required; certification preferred Urology experience preferred Strong knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures Experience with electronic medical records (Tebra experience is a plus) Understanding of insurance verification and prior authorization processes Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Commitment to providing compassionate, high-quality patient care
Schedule:
This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday. Candidates must be flexible to work occasional evenings as needed and Saturdays when required.
