Job Description
Overview Dermatology practice with offices in Freehold, West Long Branch and Hazlet is seeking energetic Medical Assistants/Front Desk Administrators. Candidates must be willing to work at all 3 offices and willing to support both Medical Assistant and Front Desk responsibilities. The Medical Assistant's duties will include, but won't be limited to: Room patients, obtain patient history and consents, input chief complaints, take before and after photos. Assists in examinations and treatments of patients under the direction of the providers. Charting medical information in EMR system (Modernizing Medicine EMR experience a plus!) Sterilize medical instruments. Process pathology, call patients with results, and schedule treatment. Answer patient phone calls and address their concerns. Assist with prescription prior-authorizations. Assisting in skin checks, minor office procedures, and skin cancer surgery, Mohs assisting a plus Suture removal, post-operative wound checks, and dressing changes The Front Desk Administrator's duties will include:
- Checking patients in and out
- Answering phone calls
- Managing administrative tasks such as faxes and voice mails Ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
- Self-motivated and be able to work independently, especially in a fast-paced environment.
- Focus on customer service and be able to assist patients in a friendly and courteous manner.
- Ability to work well with a team to accomplish day-to-day goals.
- Excellent communication skills
- Basic understanding of medical terms and processes, including HIPAA regulations, etc.
- Computer savvy
- ability to quickly learn operating on a ipad based medical EMR system.
Pay:
$18.00- $20.
