Job Description
Job Overview We are looking for a motivated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team and be a vital part of delivering exceptional patient care at a Rheumatology practice! We are dedicated to fostering a supportive environment where your skills are valued and your professional growth is encouraged. Part time or Full time can be accommodated. Duties Schedule patient appointments and verify insurance Confirm patient appointments Check patients in and out Perform medication reconciliation and update patient histories Prepare exam rooms and maintain a clean, organized clinical space Manage prior authorizations and assist with specialty medication workflows Coordinate labs, imaging, and referrals Handle patient phone calls, messages, and refill requests Document accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR) Support smooth clinic flow and provide excellent patient service Skills 1 year experience in the field as a medical assistant Strong communication and organizational skills Warm, professional, and patient-focused demeanor
