Job Description

Provides clinical services, staff supervision, training and consultation services as a liaison between the clinical staff and the Manager of Clinical Services.. Include, but are not limited to: Interviews, selects and hires new team members and manages a team of Clinicians Actively participates in the training and competency of clinical staff including the scheduling of the department in-services, coaches, counsels and disciplines employees Participate in the coordination of client discharge process. Manage the completion of client care assignments as prescribed by ordering physician. Responsible for assisting in planning, directing, and coordinating operational and personnel activities to ensure the provision of quality services to meet the needs of those served by his/her area(s) of responsibility and scope of role. Documents the activities of the staff and department by locating, gathering, and recording relevant statistical data Assists staff in utilizing team approach in the provision and reimbursement of patient care Educate clients and caregivers in the areas of equipment operation, cleaning, trouble-shooting and maintenance. Assist in daily patient care/home visits including but not limited to: CPAP/VPAP, invasive/non-invasive ventilation, cough assists, Portable Oxygen Concentrator evaluation and other modalities associated with home respiratory therapy. Coordinate with BOA and outline daily assignments of clinical staff. Monitor compliance of the clinical staff to department policies and procedures. Performs annual performance review with direct reports Complete required continuing education units as required for state licensure. Responsible for monitoring and approving PTO Responsible for obtaining and completing payroll for direct reports Monitor clinical competency and licensure completion for direct reports Monitor that all requirements are met for invasive and non-invasive ventilator management Assist in updating departmental Policy and Procedures as needed Adhere to policies and procedures and all aspects of respiratory care, maintain good infection control procedures Monitor and report on clinical KPI statistics on a monthly basis; ensures staff participation in Quality Improvement Complete ride along evaluations with direct reports Complete quarterly ventilator chart review audits for Performance Improvement initiative
