Collaborate closely with clinical and administrative staff to ensure smooth patient flow and efficient clinic operations. Maintain accurate, timely, and thorough documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) in accordance with practice policies and regulatory requirements. Follow infection control, safety, and quality protocols to maintain a clean and safe clinical environment. Obtain and maintain BAT (Breath Alcohol Technician) and DOT (Department of Transportation) certifications within the required timeframe after hire, and perform related testing once certified. Demonstrate initiative by identifying workflow improvements, assisting teammates proactively, and supporting process changes. Provide compassionate, professional, and culturally sensitive patient interactions, ensuring privacy and confidentiality at all times. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent clinical training. Current Medical Assistant certification or registration (or eligibility and willingness to obtain within organizational timeframe, if applicable by state/organization policy). Demonstrated experience performing venipuncture safely and accurately in a clinical setting. Prior experience in urgent care or a similarly fast-paced outpatient clinical environment strongly preferred.
