Job Description

Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our new healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our patients while supporting our medical staff with various clinical and administrative tasks. As a CMA, you will be responsible for assisting with patient care, maintaining medical records, and ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of our medical office.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Care:
Assist with patient intake, including taking vital signs, medical history, and preparing patients for exams. Support physicians and healthcare providers during exams and procedures. Provide patient education regarding treatment plans, medications, and health maintenance.
Clinical Support:
Perform routine clinical tasks such as blood draws, EKGs, and specimen collection. Sterilize medical equipment and maintain a clean and organized work environment. Manage and update patient charts and medical records in compliance with privacy regulations. Assist with scheduling patient appointments and follow-ups.
Administrative Support:
Answer phones, schedule appointments, and handle patient inquiries. Coordinate lab tests, referrals, and other necessary procedures as directed by healthcare providers.
Compliance & Safety:
Adhere to HIPAA guidelines and maintain patient confidentiality at all times. Keep current with required certifications and continuing education.
Qualifications:
Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) required. Minimum of 1 year of experience in a clinical setting preferred. Proficient in medical office software, electronic health records (EHR), and basic computer skills. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
