Duties Assist with patient intake by collecting medical histories and updating electronic health records (EHR systems) Create and maintain patient medical charts through EHR Schedule patient appointments, including but not limited to consultations, follow-up, and cardiovascular testing Answer patient phone calls and respond promptly to patient messages Measure vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates to support accurate diagnoses Prepare patients for examinations Maintain cleanliness and organization of clinical areas Assist the physician with administrative functions Qualifications Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience as a medical assistant, preferably in a cardiology or internal medicine setting. High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program. Proficient in taking vital signs, including blood pressure and heart rate, as well as completing EKG's Experience with electronic health records (EHR/EMR systems)
