Responsibilities Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and assist with check-in procedures using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems. Collect and record vital signs, patient histories, and current medications accurately, supporting physicians with clinical documentation. Assist with patient intake processes, including scheduling appointments and managing patient flow within the clinic. Prepare examination rooms, ensure cleanliness, and organize medical supplies for daily clinical activities. Support clinical staff with procedures. Maintain precise medical records, update electronic health records (EHR/EMR), and ensure compliance with privacy regulations. Handle administrative tasks such as answering phones, managing patient correspondence, and coordinating referrals or follow-up appointments. Skills Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology to accurately document patient encounters. Experience in pain management, orthopedics, spinal disorders, plastic surgery, urgent care, and/or podiatry is highly desirable. Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR/EMR) systems and medical office management software. Excellent patient service skills with a compassionate approach to diverse patient populations including geriatrics and internal medicine cases. Ability to perform clinical tasks such as vital signs measurement, medication administration, and basic life support (BLS). Familiarity with ASC experience or protocols enhances your ability to adapt quickly in high-pressure situations. Knowledge of medical records management, ICD coding procedures, and medical documentation standards ensures accuracy and compliance. Must be proficient with Windows 10/11 and Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Outlook. Typing skills also required. Both proficiencies noted above will be tested prior to employment.
