Temp-to-hire Pay rate: $25/hour Ambulatory Care Technician role The CMA will work with the physician and nurses to provide overall patient care including the following; Obtain vital signs, main complaints, medical history. Prepares exam rooms for patient examination Provides HIV, Sexually transmitted infections (STI), and pregnancy testing, and processes authorizations and referrals Assists with maintaining an inventory of examination/procedure room supplies Assists patients in wheelchairs with transfers to and from exam tables Incorporates trauma informed medical assistance to nurses and physicians in the overall care of patients, including technical procedures such as phlebotomy, and intramuscular and subcutaneous injections
Qualifications:
Current certification from the Certifying Board of the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), or registration from the American Medical Technologists (AMT) At least one (1) year of related experience in an adolescent/gynecology medical office setting preferred. Experience in well woman reproductive health and HIV/STI care preferred. Computer literacy with competence in Microsoft Office preferred Knowledge of Newark community preferred Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) preferred Why work for Adecco?
