Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care across various medical settings. This role requires a strong foundation in medical procedures, administrative support, and patient service, with experience in specialties such as Cardiology, Electrophysiology, Internal Medicine, and Pulmonary. The Certified Medical Assistant will play a vital role in ensuring efficient clinic operations and delivering high-quality healthcare services. Duties Perform patient intake procedures, including collecting medical histories and documenting symptoms. Measure and record vital signs accurately and efficiently. Assist with patient examinations and procedures in outpatient settings. Support physicians with medication administration, intramuscular injections, and basic wound care as needed. Perform EKGs Operate EHR systems to document patient information, ICD coding, and treatment plans securely. Prepare/stock examination rooms for normal every day use and for procedures such as in-office minor surgeries. Provide patient education on treatment plans, medication instructions, and health maintenance. Obtain Prior Authorizations Help with TCMS (transitional care management) Assist with laboratory tasks such as specimen collection when required. Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations and safety protocols at all times. Requirements Certified Medical Assistant credential from an accredited program. Must have a valid Driver's License Bilingual a plus, but not mandatory Must be willing to travel to other offices to help cover, if needed. Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, ICD coding Experience working with EHR systems CPR/BLS certified (or will obtain) Strong patient service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and compassionately. Experience working in specialized areas such as cardiology, internal medicine, and geriatrics is a plus Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environment Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for documentation and administrative tasks.
