Job Description

Oakland Spine and Physical Therapy is actively interviewing for our Medical Assistant position! Set in one of our 3 state of the art offices in Oakland, Wayne and Fair Lawn offices this is a great entry level job for someone who is interested in getting hands on experience in both a physical therapy gym and medical office setting! Experience is a plus but not needed, willing to train the right candidate who has a strong customer service and patient center background. The Medical Assistant acts as a helping hand for to our chiropractic departments. Our full time hours range from Mon/Wed/Fri 8AM-4PM & Tues/Thurs 11AM-7

Key Responsibilities:
Patient Support:
Instruct patients and assist them in setting up for various therapeutic treatments. Provide support during medical procedures, ensuring patients have a positive experience. Assist therapists with patient care, helping them with x-rays, modalities, shockwave, laser, decompression tables, billing and general clerical work.
Training Opportunities:
Receive training on cutting-edge therapies including Pettibon Therapy , decompression , Class 4 Deep Tissue Laser , and shockwave therapy , among other advanced treatment techniques. Gain hands-on experience with these therapies to support patient care and therapeutic goals.
Administrative and Clinical Support:
Maintain accurate patient records and assist with processing insurance and billing details. Keep the office organized and ensure the facility is clean and well-maintained.
Supply and Equipment Management:
Monitor and manage inventory, ensuring that medical supplies and therapy equipment are adequately stocked. Assist with ordering supplies and maintaining equipment to ensure it is clean, sanitized, and ready for use.
Team Collaboration:
Work closely with our chiropractic and front desk teams to provide seamless patient care and a five-star experience. Ensure a positive, compassionate environment for patients during their visits. Qualifications:
Experience in a healthcare or medical setting is preferred but not required (willing to train the right person). Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
