Responsibilities Assist healthcare providers with patient intake, including collecting medical histories, vital signs, and preparing patients for examinations Perform clinical tasks such as phlebotomy, medication administration, and basic life support procedures to support patient treatment plans Manage electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems), ensuring accurate documentation of medical records, notes, and coding (ICD coding) Support medical office operations by scheduling appointments, managing patient flow, and handling administrative duties like medical documentation and records management Conduct patient education on medications, procedures, and health management strategies while maintaining excellent patient service standards Prepare exam rooms with necessary supplies and sterilization protocols to ensure a safe environment for both patients and staff Collaborate with hospital teams in inpatient settings or emergency departments to facilitate seamless patient transitions and record keeping Experience Proven medical office experience with familiarity in medical assisting roles across various specialties such as dermatology, internal medicine, or emergency medicine Hands-on experience with EMR/EHR systems and electronic health records management tools Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, pharmacology, and ICD coding standards Experience in hospital environments including Level I Trauma Centers or inpatient units such as PICU or Geriatrics is highly valued Certification in basic life support (BLS) or advanced certifications related to emergency medicine or hospital medicine is preferred Prior exposure to outpatient clinics or urgent care settings demonstrating strong patient service skills and efficient intake procedures Embark on a rewarding career where your dedication enhances patient experiences while advancing your professional growth.
