Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Pediatric Medical Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in pediatric patient care, medical assisting, and medical office support. As a Pediatric Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing compassionate patient service, supporting clinical operations, and ensuring efficient workflow within our pediatric practice. Your expertise will contribute to delivering exceptional healthcare experiences for our young patients and their families. Responsibilities Assist pediatric providers with patient intake, including collecting medical histories and documenting symptoms accurately. Measure and record vital signs such as temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure for pediatric patients. Prepare exam rooms by sterilizing equipment and ensuring supplies are stocked to facilitate smooth clinical operations. Support clinical procedures including phlebotomy, medication administration, and basic life support when necessary. Manage electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems) by documenting patient encounters, updating medical records, and ensuring accuracy in medical documentation. Provide exceptional patient service by addressing questions, offering reassurance, and facilitating effective communication between patients and providers. Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and managing medical records in compliance with privacy regulations. Experience 1 year pediatric medical assisting 1 year vaccination experience Candidates should have prior experience in medical office settings with a focus on pediatrics or related specialties such as dermatology, hospital medicine, or urgent care. Experience with EMR/EHR systems, pharmacology basics, ICD coding, and medical documentation is highly desirable. Certification in basic life support (BLS) is required; familiarity with phlebotomy techniques and medication administration further strengthens candidacy.
