Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Certified Medical Assistant, a vital role dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care across diverse medical settings. In this position, you will support physicians and healthcare providers by performing clinical and administrative duties that ensure smooth clinic operations and outstanding patient experiences. Whether working in outpatient clinics, hospital environments, or specialized units such as dermatology, emergency medicine, or geriatrics, your expertise will help improve health outcomes and enhance patient satisfaction. Duties Assist with patient intake by collecting medical histories, verifying insurance information, and updating electronic health records (EHR systems) accurately. Measure vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, temperature, and oxygen saturation levels to support diagnosis and treatment plans. Prepare patients for examinations or procedures by explaining processes and ensuring comfort throughout their visit. Support physicians during procedures such as X-ray imaging, medication administration, or minor surgical interventions in outpatient or inpatient settings. Perform basic life support (BLS) and emergency response procedures when necessary to ensure patient safety. Document clinical notes, ICD coding (International Classification of Diseases), and other relevant data with precision for billing and medical records management. Provide exceptional patient service by addressing questions, coordinating appointments, and facilitating communication between patients and healthcare teams. Qualifications Certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited program is required; prior experience in dermatology, hospital medicine, urgent care, or emergency medicine is highly preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and pharmacology relevant to inpatient and outpatient care. Experience working within hospital environments such as Level I Trauma Centers or Level II Trauma Centers is advantageous; familiarity with PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), Geriatrics, or medical-surgical units is a plus. Proficiency with EHR systems for documentation and appointment scheduling; experience with ICD coding and medication administration is desirable. Ability to perform clinical tasks including phlebotomy, specimen collection, X-ray assistance, and vital sign measurement accurately. Strong communication skills focused on delivering compassionate patient care while supporting medical teams in fast-paced settings like ORs or Level I Trauma Centers. Knowledge of hospital procedures related to intake processes, inpatient care protocols, and emergency medicine practices is essential. $20.00 - $26.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
