Job Description
Premier Health Associates' Ambulatory Surgery Center provides high-quality, safe and efficient outpatient surgical care. We focus on patient comfort and smooth daily operations. Our multi-specialty facility located in Sparta (Sussex County) NJ, is seeking a well-organized, highly self-motivated professional to join our front-desk and patient-care coordination team. Our outpatient facility specializes in Gastroenterology, General Surgery and Pain Management. Key Responsibilities

Patient Reception:
Greet patients and visitors, check patients in, verify identity and help with initial surgical and consent paperwork.

Scheduling:
Coordinate surgical schedules, manage appointment calendars and make pre-operative reminder calls.

Insurance & Billing:
Verify patient insurance benefits, collect co-pays and process billing.
•
Records Management:
Maintenance of medical charts and/or electronic medical records (demographics, operative reports, test results, etc.). Update and secure electronic health records (EHR) following HIPAA rules.

Team Communication:
Connect patients, nurses and physicians to keep the daily surgery flow on track. Provide support to physicians and nursing staff as needed. Requirements & Qualifications

Education:
High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or medical admin training preferred.
•
Experience:
2 years of administrative experience in a medical office or hospital setting.
•
Skills:
