Job Description
Under general supervision and according to established procedures, provides basic medical assistance to physicians/providers and nurses by providing basic preparation of patients according to area specific Policy and Procedures including but not limited to vital signs, chart preparation, phlebotomy, procedure assistance and lab sample collection. Utilizes department specific computer systems for entry and retrieval of patient data Work requires a High School diploma or equivalent and less than one year of previous work related experience. Graduated from an accredited Medical Assistant program. Must have and maintain current certification or registration from an accredited institution, e.g.:
