Position Description:

We are seeking a motivated Medical Assistant to join our growing podiatry and wound care practice at Innovation Medical Group. The Medical Assistant will work closely with providers in our Aztec clinic, and Durango CO location. Candidates must be comfortable traveling between locations as needed to support patient care. Responsibilities Obtain and update patient medical information, records, forms, and consents Room patients and obtain vital signs Assist providers during exams, procedures, and treatments while accurately scribing clinical notes Support podiatric and wound care treatments, including vascular treatments and wound management Assist with MIPS documentation and other clinical reporting requirements Schedule appointments, referrals, follow-ups, laboratory services, and prior authorizations Follow proper specimen collection and processing procedures with a high degree of accuracy Maintain clear and professional communication with providers, patients, and the operations team Ensure patient confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA standards Travel to Durango, CO location. Medical Specialties Podiatry Wound Care Qualifications High school diploma or GED required Medical Assistant certification preferred Previous medical office or clinical experience preferred Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Knowledge of medical terminology, patient care procedures, and administrative workflows Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Professional, dependable, and patient-focused attitude Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, travel between work sites - Mileage will be reimbursed.
