Position Summary Our client is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to support a new clinic during its first three weeks of operation. This person will serve as the physician's right hand, ensuring patients, rooms, documentation, and needed materials are ready before the provider visit. The role includes both back-office clinical support and front-office assistance. This is a temporary assignment expected to last approximately three weeks, with no guaranteed extension. Minimum Qualifications
- Hands-on Medical Assistant experience in a clinic or physician-office setting (2+ years preferred)
- Experience performing blood draws, EKGs, vital signs, and injections
- Comfortable supporting both clinical back-office work and front-office needs
- Able to work Monday through Saturday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with Sundays off
- Able to start as soon as this week, or no later than Monday Preferred Qualifications
- CMA certification is preferred but not required
- Experience working in a fast-paced clinic environment with limited ramp-up time
- Experience using electronic medical record systems; the clinic uses Monmed
- Experience assisting with allergy testing is helpful, but training will be provided
- Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare patients, rooms, documentation, and needed materials before provider visits
- Obtain and record patient vital signs and assist with patient intake
- Perform EKGs, injections, and blood draws within demonstrated competency and clinic procedures
- Support physicians during patient visits and help keep patient flow organized
- Assist with front-office and back-office duties as needed
- Use the Monmed electronic medical record system
- Learn and assist with allergy testing after clinic training, as needed Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong clinical judgment and confidence with routine Medical Assistant procedures
- Ability to stay organized and keep a provider prepared in a new-clinic environment
- Professional communication and a patient-focused approach
- Dependability and the ability to work independently with minimal training
Schedule:
Monday through Saturday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Sunday off.
Pay Rate:
$20 to $25 per hour, depending on experience.
