Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Medical Receptionist/Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. This vital role combines front-office administrative support with clinical assisting duties, ensuring seamless patient experiences and efficient clinic operations. The ideal candidate will be energetic, detail-oriented, and dedicated to providing exceptional patient care in a fast-paced medical environment. You will serve as the first point of contact for patients, manage medical records, assist with clinical procedures, and support the overall workflow of our medical practice. Being Bilingual, English-Spanish speaking in our office is definitely a plus. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and facilitate smooth check-in and check-out processes using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems. Schedule appointments, confirm patient visits, and manage patient flow to optimize clinic efficiency. Collect and record vital signs, patient histories, and other relevant medical information accurately. Maintain detailed medical documentation, including progress notes, ICD coding for diagnoses, and updating electronic medical records (EMR/EHR). Support administrative functions like answering phones, managing correspondence, and handling patient inquiries with professionalism. Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations by managing medical records securely and accurately documenting procedures and treatments. Assist in the management of medical supplies and equipment to ensure readiness for daily clinical activities. Qualifications Proven experience in a medical office setting with knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and ICD coding. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems and electronic health records management is essential for accurate documentation and data entry. Strong patient service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and empathetically with diverse patient populations. Knowledge of medical assisting procedures including intake assessments, vital signs measurement, medication administration, and basic physiology concepts.
