Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Medical Assistant or Receptionist, where your energy and dedication will directly enhance patient experiences and streamline clinic operations. This vital role combines front-office management with clinical support, ensuring seamless patient care from check-in to treatment. You will be the friendly face greeting patients, managing appointments, and assisting healthcare providers with essential clinical tasks. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will contribute to a positive, efficient environment dedicated to exceptional patient service and comprehensive medical support. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and facilitate smooth check-in and check-out processes using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems. Schedule appointments, confirm patient visits, and manage clinic calendars to optimize workflow. Collect patient histories, measure vital signs, and prepare patients for examinations or procedures in accordance with clinical protocols. Assist healthcare providers with clinical duties such as phlebotomy, wound care, and basic life support procedures. Maintain accurate medical documentation, update medical records, and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations. Support medical office management by handling insurance verifications, ICD coding for diagnoses, and processing billing information. Ensure the cleanliness and organization of clinical areas while adhering to safety standards in outpatient settings or hospital environments including Level I/II trauma centers or inpatient units. Experience Prior experience in a medical office setting with exposure to internal medicine, urgent care, or hospital medicine is highly preferred. Demonstrated proficiency in Electronic Health Records (EHR/EHR systems), medical documentation, and medical terminology. Hands-on clinical skills such as phlebotomy, vital signs collection, Ekg and spirometry . Experience working in fast-paced environments Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or equivalent is required; additional certifications related to emergency medicine or hospital experience are a plus. $20.00 - $21.00 per hour
