Job Description
We are seeking a reliable, compassionate, and organized Medical Assistant to join our busy Primary Care/Internal Medicine practice. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a fast-paced outpatient environment and understands the importance of patient care, teamwork, accurate documentation, and maintaining an efficient clinical workflow. Responsibilities Room patients and obtain accurate vital signs and medical history. Prepare patients for examination and assist providers during visits. Perform phlebotomy and specimen collection . Perform EKGs and other in-office testing as trained and authorized. Prepare exam rooms and maintain appropriate medical supplies. Review provider orders and assist with follow-up testing, labs, and referrals. Assist with Pre-Op and routine patient paperwork. Properly document information in the EHR. Communicate with Front Desk and providers regarding patient flow and outstanding needs. Follow up on provider instructions and help maintain continuity of patient care. Maintain infection-control and patient-safety standards. Provide courteous and compassionate assistance to patients throughout their visit. Qualifications Prior Medical Assistant experience in Primary Care, Internal Medicine, Urgent Care, or a similar outpatient setting preferred. Phlebotomy experience strongly preferred. EKG experience preferred. PFT or other diagnostic-testing experience is a plus. Comfortable using an EHR and learning office systems. Strong communication and organizational skills. Dependable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus . Ability to work Saturdays when scheduled.
