Pride Health is hiring a Medical Assistant to support our client's medical facility in Bethpage, NY 11714. This is a 3+ month contract assignment (convertible to permanent based on performance) and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!
Specific Duties:
Prepare patients for examinations and procedures by taking vital signs, documenting medical histories, and assisting with medical tests.
Administer medications and injections as directed by physicians.
Keep accurate and up-to-date medical records, including recording patient information, test results, and treatment plans.
Perform routine administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments, billing managing patient data.
Sterilize medical instruments and equipment to maintain a clean and safe environment.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care within a multidisciplinary team.
Maintain inventory of medical supplies and restock as necessary.
Adhere to HIPAA guidelines and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
Requirements:
Experience:
1 year of Medical Assistant Experience
Education:
High school graduate or GED equivalent
Certifications:
Current Medical Assistant Certification & BLS certification
