Job Description

Full-time position available for experienced, friendly and caring Medical Assistants with phlebotomy in our four locations, Coram, North Babylon, Massapequa, and Plainview. Must have your own transportation. Bilingual a plus. Monday-Friday, occasional Sats.
Duties Include:
  • Obtain vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature), measure height & weight, EKG, Spirometry.
  • EMR experience
  • intake patient history including medications and reason for visit
  • Set up equipment, maintain cleanliness of exam rooms, order supplies, stock exam rooms
  • Assist with minor procedures, handle specimens.
  • Obtain Lab & Test Results, and authorizations for medications and procedures as needed
  • Assist providers with prescriptions, and handle pharmacy phone calls
  • Assist at front desk, booking appointments, answering phones and collecting copayments
  • Follow HIPAA guidelines.
Experience:
Medical Assistant Diploma/Certification from accredited institution 1-2 years experience Blood draw experience required.
