We operate multiple locations in Elmhurst, Brooklyn Heights, and Manhattan and are seeking an energetic, self-motivated, and compassionate Certified Medical Assistant for our Queens office. This full-time role reports to the Floor Supervisor and plays a vital part in supporting our healthcare providers in delivering high-quality care to our patients. Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is required and mandatory for this role. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing in both languages.
Responsibilities include:
  • Assisting healthcare providers in the examination and treatment of patients, ensuring excellent patient service.
  • Accurately coding and documenting patient information, taking vital signs, and recording medical histories.
  • Administering medication as directed by healthcare providers.
  • Performing and assisting with various clinical and administrative tasks, such as scheduling, maintaining patient records, and electronic filing.
  • Conducting basic assessments, including paper and pencil tests, with thorough record-keeping.
  • Translating information between Spanish and English for patient support.
  • Supporting patients with form completion and inquiries.
  • Cross-training in additional departments as needed to enhance team flexibility, with possible ad-hoc duties.
Qualifications:
  • Certification as a Medical Assistant is desirable but not required
  • Prior experience in medication administration, vital sign collection, and general patient care.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy.
  • Experience in administrative support, such as scheduling and record management, is beneficial.
  • Willingness to learn or conduct specialized testing as needed.
  • Strong Administrative Skills Needed.
