Job Description
Lakeshore Primary Care Associates is hiring a highly organized and patient-focused Medical Assistant Supervisor to join our team. The Medical Assistant Supervisor plays a key role in coordinating medical assistant functions and patient care across our two locations. This position supports the Clinical Nurse Manager in maintaining efficient workflows, appropriate staffing, and high-quality care. Create monthly schedules for all Medical Assistant staff. Coordinate daily assignments and adjust Medical Assistants' schedules to most effectively support physicians. Monitor physician schedules to identify and resolve coverage issues. Assist with patient care procedures, including taking vitals and performing EKGs and spirometries. Assess skill and performance of Medical Assistants; conducts periodic reviews. Engage in hiring, performance reviews, disciplinary actions with HR. Conducts training and continuous education for Medical Assistants. Review and approve timecards across both sites. Conduct and document monthly Medical Assistant meetings. Communicate operational policy changes effectively and ensure implementation. Maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and practice policies. Manage exam room inventory levels; assist with inventory ordering, as needed. Dispose of hazardous materials properly and follow OSHA standards. Expected to assist with rooming and direct patient care.
