Job Description

Clinical Support Assistant - Psychiatry Position Summary The Clinical Support Assistant serves as a vital liaison between patients, physicians, and staff in our Psychiatric department. This role provides essential administrative support by managing patient communications, processing documentation, and ensuring smooth office operations. The ideal candidate thrives in a collaborative healthcare environment, delivering exceptional service while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality. Key Responsibilities Requires travel between two offcie locations Act as primary liaison between patients and physicians, facilitating clear communication and coordination of care. Complete patient forms, obtain medical records, and process prescription renewal requests efficiently and accurately. Provide general medical office administrative support, including answering phones, routing messages, and filing medical/administrative correspondence. Communicate regularly with patients, staff, and medical providers to resolve inquiries and support department workflows. Assist with additional clerical tasks such as scheduling, data entry, and maintaining organized patient files. Qualifications & Skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills with professional phone etiquette. Strong analytical abilities and meticulous attention to detail. Proven ability to meet deadlines, multitask effectively, and work independently in a self-directed manner. Minimum of High School diploma or GED. At least two (2) years of administrative or clerical experience, preferably in a medical office setting.
Preferred:
Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and basic medical terminology. Must comply with New York State healthcare regulations, including HIPAA.
Pay:
$20.00 - $25.00 per hour
