Medical Assistant

•Primary Care (Part-Time)

Inwood, NY Schedule:

Part-Time

•Monday 8am-5pm, Tuesday 8am-6pm, Thursday 8am-5pm

Pay:

$21

•24 per hour MedStaff Group is recruiting a dependable Medical Assistant for a well-established primary care practice in Inwood, NY (Long Island). This is a part-time, three-day-a-week role supporting a Physician Assistant, with steady daytime hours and no evenings or weekends. The Medical Assistant will keep the provider's schedule running smoothly, prepare patients for their visits, and provide a professional and welcoming patient experience. Responsibilities Room patients, take vital signs, and update medical history and medication lists in the EHR. Prepare patients for exams and assist the provider during visits and in-office procedures. Perform EKGs, venipuncture, injections, and point-of-care testing. Process referrals, prior authorizations, lab orders, and results follow-up. Maintain clean, stocked, and organized exam rooms. Follow HIPAA, OSHA, and infection-control requirements. Support the front desk with check-in, scheduling, and phones as needed. Qualifications Medical Assistant certificate or diploma. At least one year of medical office experience. Phlebotomy and EKG skills. Comfortable working in an electronic health record. Strong communication, organization, and patient-service skills. Reliable, punctual, and professional. Preferred Qualifications CCMA, CMA, or RMA certification. Primary care experience. Current BLS/CPR certification.

Compensation:

$21

•24 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
